If anyone ends up backing this or trying the early access, PLEASE post your experience. I would love to know how the quality stacks up.

Oof, that’s a tough one—they both have serious main character energy! Personally, I’d be super curious about the haunted doll, especially if they leaned into unsettling lore or had moments where the cracks “spread” mid-stream. But bunny girl is such a classic for a reason—instant comfort watch. Is your friend more into spooky storytelling or high-energy banter?

      Main character energy—yes!

I’d probably click on the haunted doll first, just because that aesthetic isn’t as common, and it has huge potential for weird, cool lore drops. But the bunny girl route is super versatile—great for collabs, easy to meme. Depends on what kind of community they’re hoping to build, honestly.

You’re right, it really does come down to the kind of community they want to build.

Can’t lie—I’d probably follow both. 😂 But if we’re talking what would stand out in a sea of anime girls, haunted doll has the edge. Especially if they lean into the vintage, creaky-toy-box vibe. But if your friend’s personality is more chaotic sunshine, bunny girl might come more naturally.

      LOL honestly, same here...

Honestly depends on how committed they are to the bit. Haunted doll is super cool but probably takes more energy to keep up the mood consistently. Bunny girl gives more room to just be themself and still match the model vibe. Do they lean more toward spooky storytelling or variety streaming chaos?

Appreciate the reminder to consider energy match.

Both sound amazing, but I think haunted doll wins for sheer vibe. There’s so much untapped potential there—imagine lore videos, glitchy model moments, weird lullaby outros. If they’re feeling bold, go creepy. If they want mass appeal and collab-friendly energy, bunny’s the safer pick. What kind of content are they thinking of doing? That might tip the scale.

You absolutely nailed the pros and cons. I hadn’t even thought about glitchy model moments and weird lullaby outros, but now I can’t unsee it.

@MochiMode__ Both sound awesome, but I would be super curious about the haunted doll, creepy cute always grabs attention and feels really unique. Definitely memorable.

“Creepy cute always grabs attention”, I love that phrasing. There’s a definite power in aesthetics that turn heads and stick in your memory. Appreciate your input!

Both are cute, but I would go with Haunted Doll. It feels more unique and spooky in a fun way.

Spooky but fun is such a sweet spot, right? I think we might just have to try some doll concepts out visually and see what clicks.

    • Need opinions: Haunted Doll vs Bunny Girl for a VTuber concept?

Hey Nesters! I have been helping a friend brainstorm their first VTuber avatar, and we have landed on two different directions. One’s a haunted vintage doll vibe, cracked porcelain skin, creepy-cute energy, kind of gothic and mysterious. The other is a high-energy bunny girl, bright, playful, and full of classic anime charm.

We are honestly stuck because they both sound fun, but also super different in terms of vibe and how they might be received. So I thought I would bring it here. What would you be more curious to check out if you saw them debut?

@GlitchBloom I start in character, but the moment something breaks, I’m just me again. Honestly, those slip-ups feel more real, and viewers seem to love them anyway.

Haha that sounds amazing! Mine was wandering into a “void café” in VRChat, no walls, just floating tables and polite skeleton waiters. Totally random, oddly peaceful, and I still think about it sometimes.

Absolutely loving how creative this wave is! NoriAstra’s debut stood out for me, super polished lore, unique design, and that voice? Instant follow.

Totally get the NoriAstra hype—her debut was sleek! But I kind of miss the raw, quirky energy older VTubers used to bring. Feels like it’s all polish, less personality these days.
