@Virtual-Roost Yeah, I have been looking into it too. From what I found, the team behind Phygital has actually been doing 3D stuff for over a decade; they’re the same folks behind My3DSelfie and 3DAiLY. Seems like they’ve worked with some pretty big names already, so that gives me a bit of confidence.

@lunar I have been thinking the same, having a tiny version of my avatar just chillin’ on my desk?? Waw.

@cloud From what I read, it’s supposed to be fully custom, not just pieced together presets. The blog mentioned model + figure are built from scratch per person.

@echodusk Yeah, I had the same thought. Full-body setups are usually wild expensive, but this feels like it’s aiming to open the door for more people.

@Streamspire Same here. It’s got that “comfort object but make it your brand” kind of vibe.

@Avatar-Alley Right? I didn’t think about it like that either until now.

@CloudSpinner Yeah, I had the same question! From what the blog mentioned, the figure is supposed to be based directly on your custom avatar, so the detailing should be close.

@speedybee Haha, fair question. From what I gathered, the digital model is stream-ready; you can use it like any other 3D VTuber rig. The figure comes along with it as an extra flex.

    • Have You Heard About Phygital? I Just Read About It on a Blog Post

So I just came across this Kickstarter project called Phygital in a VTuberLab blog, and it honestly blew my mind a bit. It’s basically a fully custom 3D VTuber avatar plus a physical collectible figure of your model, like your avatar on your shelf. The wild part? Pricing starts at $399–$499 for early VIPs.

Compared to the usual $2K+ you see for full-body models, this feels kinda disruptive. I am curious, has anyone here actually tried it yet, or planning to? Or is it just a hype?

    • RE: Anyone else lowkey obsessed with chaotic mid-stream model swaps?

The hotdog PNG gets me every time 😂 I LIVE for the cursed mid-stream transformations. It’s like avatar theater.

    • RE: Blending Live2D and Unity props for VTuber streams what do you think

I tried something similar, Live2D + Unity props. Fun but yeah, syncing is a pain without pro scripting.

    • RE: Are we reaching the point where your avatar feels more real than your IRL self?

I think the virtual me is who I wish I could be in real life, more confident, expressive, and unapologetically weird. It’s freeing in a way.

    • From Lurker to VTuber, Why I Finally Hit "Go Live"

Hey everyone, I am Echo Berry. For the longest time, I was just watching. Lurking in chats. Clipping funny moments. I admire how some VTubers could turn a simple stream into a whole little universe. I’d open VTube Studio “just to test” and spend hours playing with my avatar, tweaking expressions, adding props I never used, then close it without ever going live.

Part of me wasn’t sure I had anything new to offer. Everyone seemed so polished, so ready. But over time, I realized... maybe the mess is part of the magic. Maybe showing up imperfectly is still showing up. So here I am. Still finding my voice. Still learning how not to crash my overlays. But for the first time, I’m not just watching—I’m doing. And honestly, that’s kind of huge for me. I’m here because I love the creativity, the weirdness, the niche communities here that somehow feel like home.
