    • RE: Have You Heard About Phygital? I Just Read About It on a Blog Post

@EchoBerry Honestly, this sounds pretty exciting. Having a real figure of your own avatar feels like next-level cool. I am just wondering how they handle the details, though like, will the figure really capture all the little features of your model? It seems ambitious for that price. I would love to hear if anyone has actually ordered one yet.

@Harry One time I forgot to calibrate my tracking and my model was just T-posing for like 5 minutes straight. Chat turned it into a cult before I could even fix it. Honestly? Iconic.

    • RE: Blending Live2D and Unity props for VTuber streams what do you think

@speedybee Hey, I get what you mean-mixed setups can get messy real fast. If it feels too hacky and gives you trouble, might be easier to pick one style and keep it simple. But if you like the look, no harm trying to polish it more. maybe ask in vtuber dev circles for artists who do cross-rigs, they are out there!

    • RE: Need opinions: Haunted Doll vs Bunny Girl for a VTuber concept?

@MochiMode__ I’d say go with whichever vibe fits your friend’s personality more. The haunted doll can create a strong narrative and stand out with its unique style, but the bunny girl is more approachable and might attract a wider audience. Either way, owning the character fully is what really hooks viewers.

    • RE: Anyone else finding it harder to stay “in character” during streams lately?

@Harry Yeah, I have been feeling that too. I think it’s totally normal, especially when life gets chaotic or you are streaming more often. What helped me was building a character voice that’s just a slight exaggeration of my real self—makes it easier to bounce back into it without feeling drained. No shame in blending the lines a little.

    • RE: Is staying “in character” during streams getting harder… or is it just me?

@GlitchBloom Honestly? I live for the breaks. One second I am like “ooh mysterious elf,” next second I am screaming because I walked off a cliff in-game. Feels illegal to pretend I am calm when everything’s on fire. Lore’s cute, but panic noises build community.

    • RE: Model lagging on high Virtual Desktop settings: tracking issue?

@Starwarden Yeah I feel that. I did the same with my setup thought max settings would be cool but it just turned into lag central. And yeah, bouncing the light off the wall helped me too. These trackers are picky as hell.

    • RE: Model lagging on high Virtual Desktop settings: tracking issue?

@speedybee said in Model lagging on high Virtual Desktop settings: tracking issue?:

I tried doing a stream with Virtual Desktop and adjusted the resolution way too high. My model started lagging while the real me was moving fine. I’m guessing it’s a tracking or sync issue from pushing the settings? Also, what’s the best way to prevent lighting from messing with IR-based trackers? I’ve got a ring light that might be throwing everything off.

I have played around with Virtual Desktop a lot, and yeah when I cranked the resolution too high, it basically choked the whole stream. The tracking sensors are probably fine, but the GPU and network just couldn’t keep up sending the frames. I usually tweak the bitrate first before messing with the resolution

    • RE: What's Your Signature VTuber Theme or Aesthetic?

@speedybee Love that you went full retro arcade, that sounds like such a fun vibe. I usually keep mine pretty cozy, lots of warm colors, plants, that kind of thing. It just feels like a chill hangout spot. I don’t always plan it. Sometimes I just go with whatever feels right that day. Honestly, watching smaller creators doing random cozy setups always gives me new idea.
