So I just came across this Kickstarter project called Phygital in a VTuberLab blog, and it honestly blew my mind a bit. It’s basically a fully custom 3D VTuber avatar plus a physical collectible figure of your model, like your avatar on your shelf. The wild part? Pricing starts at $399–$499 for early VIPs.

Compared to the usual $2K+ you see for full-body models, this feels kinda disruptive. I am curious, has anyone here actually tried it yet, or planning to? Or is it just a hype?

@EchoBerry So let me get this straight... they make a 3D avatar and ship you a figurine of it? For $499? I mean, is this actually usable for streaming, or just something I stare at while wondering where my money went?

@EchoBerry Honestly, this sounds pretty exciting. Having a real figure of your own avatar feels like next-level cool. I am just wondering how they handle the details, though like, will the figure really capture all the little features of your model? It seems ambitious for that price. I would love to hear if anyone has actually ordered one yet.

@EchoBerry, this sounds super cool, but also a bit futuristic. A digital avatar and a physical version? I’d love to know if anyone here has ordered one.

@EchoBerry If the rigging quality and blendshapes are on point, this could shift the market.. I am keeping an eye on this for sure.

If anyone ends up backing this or trying the early access, PLEASE post your experience. I would love to know how the quality stacks up.

@EchoBerry That’s honestly fascinating. A custom 3D VTuber model and a physical figure for that price? It seems way more affordable than normal full-body rigs. Does the figure actually match the digital model well? I haven’t tried it myself, but I am really curious if anyone here has backed it yet or seen how the quality holds up. It almost feels too good to be true!

Whoa, that does sound kind of revolutionary. I wonder how customizable the figure part is—like, are we talking actual hand-painted quality or 3D print shop vibe? $499 is still a chunk, but way more doable than the usual full-model commissions. Would love to see someone’s Phygital in action before I consider backing.

Okay but imagine unboxing your own digital soul in physical form. 😭 That’s such a cool flex—stream with the avatar and have your mini-me chilling in the background. I feel like this is where VTubing meets anime merch meets main character energy.

This gives me major Tamagotchi-to-GameBoy-era vibes… when digital characters started bleeding into real life. But now it’s you as the character. What a time to be alive. 😄 Curious how they’ll handle updates though—like, what if I redesign my avatar six months later?

Love the concept, but I’m wondering about scale. Like, will everyone get the same quality regardless of how complex their model is? I’ve seen custom figures before and sometimes they nail it, sometimes it’s like “oh no baby what is this.” 😅

Wait, so this is basically VTuber Pokémon evolution. You start as a PNGTuber, become 3D, and then BOOM—now you're also a shelf collectible. Next step is having our avatars host our funerals in 2075, right? 😂 But seriously, I love the physical-digital blend—it’s where fandom is clearly headed.

I’m curious if this could spark more “phygital” meetups too. Like, VTuber cons where everyone brings their figure and swaps stories or accessories like mini anime idols. I wonder if they’ll open up customization like clothing or seasonal looks post-launch?

I have literally been dreaming of having a mini version of my avatar on my desk. This sounds unreal for that price.

Is this actually full custom or just preset mashups?

I have been wanting to get into VTubing but the prices were killing me. If this works, it might actually be my way in.

I just read about this too. The idea of holding your own avatar in your hands? It’s weirdly cute and kind of wholesome.

Lowkey tempted to draw the weirdest possible character just to see if they’d actually make it into a figure Imagine turning your cursed sketch into something real.

From what I read, they connect the digital and physical versions with a scannable tag or code. That’s kinda futuristic to be honest.
